About the Photo Workshop
The 4 day workshop invites you to travel back in time from 12th to 15th October 2024 in Berry château.
The exceptional Château de Saint Chartier dominates the historic village, just a stone throw away from George Sand's manor house, in the heart of the preserved European Berry nature park.
Photographers Bénédicte Van der Maar and Mathias Heng set out to discover this fantastic castle, an internationally renowned fortress in the heart of the La Châtre biosphere. Composed of woods, plains, hedged farmland and streams, this natural site, preserved, will offer great photographic opportunities with different atmospheres.
A change of scenery, an opportunity to disconnect and build your photography. The journey will take place in the company of other photographers, photographing during the day and group feedback sessions in the evening. The focus will be on culture, landscape, narrative human interest and creative photography, using photography techniques. The intimate workshop ensures personalized attention and a supportive learning environment.
Your creativity and level of photographic practice will improve by editing, printing and exhibition during the workshop run by Bénédicte Van der Maar and Mathias Heng.
You will benefit from an inspiring environment with an exceptional architectural, cultural and historical heritage, in harmony with nature and the surrounding landscape.
Art exhibitions and workshops are organized in different areas of premises, conducive to creative expression: The Gallery is a space for sharing and use as an exhibition space. Its stones gives the Atelier an authentic character where you can concentrate.

Full fees must be paid on prior to the start of the workshop

Maximum Participants: 8 participants

We reserve the right to cancel groups with less than 4 participants, participants will be given a full refund.

We reserve the right to change or alter the program advertised.

Cancellations. We will reimburse all the registration costs except for a 10% of the costs for administrative fee, if you inform us of cancellation at least 20 days before the first day of the Workshop. Beyond this time limit, we will charge the following: 50% of the cost if cancelled between 19 and 5 days before the workshop commences. 100% of the cost if cancelled on the 4 days before the workshop commences.
